I've been on and off the road since March with stops in New York, St. Louis, Chicago, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Detroit and throughout Michigan. This initial phase ended last night with a fun gig at One More Page Books in Arlington, Va., with my friend Paul Dickson, who has a great new bio out about Bill Veeck.
After returning home that night I was greeted by this generous review from Bloomberg:
"This is one of those rare baseball books in which figures as diverse as Bill Russell, Joe Namath and Tom Hayden march through its pages. The year 1968 marks us still, and Tim Wendel has reminded us why."
I'll be back in Michigan in late July and then out to Los Angeles.
