I had a great time talking about fireballers and High Heat at the Bergino Clubhouse near New York University last week. It's a great setting, just around the corner from the world-famous Strand Bookstore. If I was ever was going to move back to New York, I'd take a long look at that part of town.
The night before I saw Phantom of the Opera and afterward actor Scott Mikita gave me a backstage tour. Yes, that name is familiar. Scott is the son of Stan Mikita, the Hall of Fame hockey player and the same guy I wrote a kids novel about back in the day.
